As part of Mental Health Awareness Week 2023, the Mental Health Foundation (MHF) has chosen anxiety as its primary theme.

Since their first event in 2001, MHF has been raising awareness of mental health challenges – and this year they’d like to provide a better understanding of what anxiety actually is, when it becomes a concern, and, importantly, what we can do to help ourselves and each other if anxiety becomes an issue.

Its own studies have shown everyone’s experiences of anxiety can be entirely different, with the precise causes often complex and not always easy to define.

Connect with people and talk about how you feel

Try to get some quality sleep or rest

There are also opportunities to donate or become involved personally

with the Mental Health Foundation’s 2023 events and help raise awareness through your friends, family and workplace.
