We support Highfields Spencer Academy because we understand the importance of the relationship between place and community. After all, feeling good about our environment helps us feel good about each other. That’s why we support local events that matter most.

What We Do: Highfields Spencer Academy

Greenbelt joined Highfields Spencer Academy in celebrating its grand opening and summer fayre, giving people on and around our Highfields development in Derby the chance to come together and enjoy food, stalls, live music and much more.

While the school technically opened its doors to pupils in September 2020, issues related to the Covid-19 pandemic and social distancing requirements meant the grand opening could not go ahead at that time.

Now, nearly two years later, we’re delighted to have been able to contribute a donation towards the event and help ensure everyone was able to enjoy this summer fayre and fun day.

The opening also included an official unveiling of the school plaque, a ceremony performed by local MP Heather Wheeler.

We are fully committed in our support of Highfields Spencer Academy for the long term.

With that in mind, our Community Liaison team are set to visit the school gardening club to provide wildflower seed packages, as well as practical advice and guidance for the next generation of green-fingered gardeners, horticulturalists and ecologists.
